What is MOTIV?
MOTIV is the new brand for Auto Expert: a cloud-based dealership operating system that brings the work across departments into one connected platform.
Does it work on desktop and mobile?
The platform is browser-based, giving your team access from a desk or a phone in the service lane.
Which departments does it cover?
Service, Sales & CRM, Parts, F&I, Body Shop, Accounting, Marketing, and Administration.
Do I need to replace my existing DMS immediately?
Your rollout can begin alongside your current system. Discuss the workflows, OEM requirements, integrations, and migration scope your dealership needs before choosing a transition plan.
What does founding pricing include?
The first seven dealerships to join the Founding Dealer Program receive up to 75% off and a lifetime price lock. Founding dealers participate in monthly feedback, collaborate on a case study, and help shape MOTIV. Apply through the Founding Dealer Program page; acceptance and enrollment confirm your place.
Is there a five-year contract?
No. Published pricing is monthly, with no five-year lock-in and no setup fee.
Can I take my data with me?
Yes. The dealership owns its customer and operational records and can request an export in standard formats without an export fee. The current privacy policy provides an export window during the subscription and for 30 days after termination.
How is dealership data used by AI?
AI processing follows the dealership’s instructions and agreement. The current policy prohibits AI providers from training general-purpose foundation models on dealer customer data unless separately authorized in writing.
What is Garage?
Garage is the customer-facing app for vehicle history, service information, booking, and dealership relationships. Customers manage sharing by store.
