When does Garage launch?
Garage is launching in 2027. Join the waitlist for launch updates and to hear when access opens. We’ll share availability details as launch approaches.
Do I need a connected car to use Garage?
No. Records, ownership planning, vehicle research, and educational guidance have value without a connected vehicle. Automatic readings require a compatible vehicle and a supported connection.
What if my dealership doesn’t use MOTIV?
You can keep your own vehicle history, plan ownership, explore guidance, and organize your next purchase. Dealership messaging, shared inspections, appointment requests, deal paperwork, rewards, and dealer account information depend on a participating store.
Will Garage tell me exactly what’s wrong with my car?
Garage helps explain information and bring context together. A diagnostic code or dashboard light does not by itself confirm the cause, the repair, or whether a car is safe to drive. A qualified professional may need to inspect the vehicle.
Is a requested service time a confirmed appointment?
Your request and the store’s confirmation are separate. Garage shows the status so you know whether the dealership has confirmed your visit and arrangements.
Can I keep information for more than one vehicle?
Yes. Keep each vehicle’s records, mileage, maintenance, and ownership details organized in its own place. Vehicle sharing lets you manage access for another person who helps care for it.
What happens to my records if I close my account?
You can request an export before closing your account. Closing Garage ends your consumer account access and vehicle claims. It does not delete the dealership’s own service or transaction records.
